Description

Roberto Sarotto Nativo Langhe Nebbiolo 2022 - 0.75l

Roberto Sarotto's Nativo Langhe Nebbiolo is a masterpiece of Piedmontese winemaking. The grapes are harvested with careful handwork from the end of September to the beginning of October. An important step in the production of this wine is the cold maceration for 2-3 days, which serves to bring out the rich and fruity aromas of the grapes. After this phase, there is a two-week fermentation in stainless steel tanks, which gives the wine its special texture and character.

The subsequent aging period of 6-8 months in large American oak barrels gives the wine depth and complexity. A further 6 months of storage in stainless steel tanks followed by 6 months in the bottle completes the maturation process and ensures the fine-tuning of the aromas.

The end result is a wine that impresses in its presentation: an intense ruby red color interspersed with brick-red reflections that testify to its maturity. The nose is seduced by a complex bouquet reminiscent of small red fruits and sweet spices, an indication of the long maturation and quality of the Nebbiolo grapes. On the palate it is generous and fulfilling, with an excellent structure. Its finish is persistent, soft and dry, with tannins present but not overly dominant.

The Nativo Langhe Nebbiolo is the ideal companion for hearty dishes, especially dishes with red meat and game. A wine that not only delights the palate, but also tells stories - stories from Piedmont, characterized by tradition and passion.

Roberto Sarotto
