Description

Roberto Sarotto Barbera d'Asti 2021 - 0.75l

Roberto Sarotto's "Barbera d'Asti" is the result of careful and artisanal production. The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September. After destemming and pressing, ten days of temperature-controlled fermentation takes place. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is transferred to a stainless steel tank where malolactic fermentation takes place. Once this process is complete, the wine spends a few more months aging in the tank and in the bottle.

Visually, this wine impresses with its dark, ruby red color, which is accompanied by slight purple edges. The nose is dominated by a bouquet of cherry plum, complemented by nuances of bay leaves and blackberries. In terms of taste, the Barbera d'Asti is soft and balanced. A subtle acidity gives it freshness and liveliness. Overall, it is a medium-bodied, fruity wine.

Its versatility makes it the ideal companion for a variety of meals. It goes particularly well with meat dishes, salami and ham, and goes perfectly with starters and pasta dishes with tomato or meat sauces. Even lovers of spicy food will enjoy it. An all-round successful wine that makes many culinary hearts beat faster.

Roberto Sarotto
