Vinha Maria Teresa Red 2017 - Quinta do Crasto
The Quinta do Crasto, idyllically located on the right bank of the Douro River between Régua and Pinhão, covers an area of around 130 hectares. Of these, 70 hectares are planted with carefully tended vines. The property also includes the Quinta do Querindelo with 10 hectares of old vineyards and the Quinta da Cabreira in the Douro Superior, which covers a further 114 hectares of vineyards.
Located in the privileged location of the delimited Douro region, the Quinta do Crasto has been in the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As is typical of the large quintas in the Douro, the Quinta do Crasto also has a long and rich history. Its name “Crasto” comes from the Latin “castrum”, which means a Roman fortress.
