Characteristics
This port wine is characterized by its impressive mahogany color with greenish reflections, an indication of its maturity. Its scent is intense, characterized by exceptional complexity. Notes of dried figs, tobacco, white plums and walnuts dominate, complemented by rich wood aromas. The taste reveals the depth and variety of spices and dried fruits, rounded off by fresher accents that result in a long-lasting aftertaste.
Enjoyment recommendation
A perfect accompaniment to desserts such as crème brûlée or apple tart as well as a selection of dried fruits and medium-firm hard cheeses.
Special processing
The careful processing begins with the hand selection of the grapes. Through controlled fermentation and maceration in traditional lagares, color, tannins and aromas are optimally extracted. The addition of grape brandy completes the process, creating a fortified wine of unparalleled quality. Maturation in oak barrels gives it its characteristic aroma.
