The grapes were destemmed and gently pressed upon arrival in the wine cellar. Maceration lasted 6 days at a maximum temperature of 28°C. The wine then completed both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation over the winter before being aged for 12 months in second and third fill barriques and then bottled.
Historical data
The Nice area, the best terroir for Barbera, is characterized by soil with veins of silt and sand, producing a wine that highlights the aromas and freshness of the variety.
tasting notes
Bansella has an intense ruby red color. The nose is generous and fruity, with notes of dark stone fruit, flowers and a slight hint of licorice. On the palate it is soft and characterized by an excellent balance between freshness and the typical acidity of Barbera.
