Chilled - a true Chardonnay pleasure

The Pinot Grigio 15 - 2022 0.75l

Description

The Pinot Grigio 15 from Castelfeder Shines in the glass in a light straw yellow with golden highlights. Fresh, fruity aromas unfold in the nose. The clear focus is on crisp apples, followed by juicy Abé Fetel pears and subtle hints of quince and peach.

This Italian Pinot Gris from South Tyrol impresses on the palate with a balanced body and a crisp, dense character. The long-lasting, harmonious finish of the Pinot Grigio 15 is accompanied by nuances of apples.

Vinification of the Castelfeder Pinot Grigio 15

This Pinot Grigio 15 comes from the Unterlander vineyards in South Tyrol, where Castelfeder grapes grow on sandy limestone gravel soils. After hand-picking, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the Pinot Grigio 15 matures on the fine yeast for another 6 months before it is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for Castelfeder Pinot Grigio 15

Enjoy this dry white wine from Italy with fresh summer salads with either seafood or chicken breast or with lightly spiced dishes with white meat.

Awards for the Pinot Grigio 15 from Castelfeder

Falstaff: 92 points for 2018

Bright, light lemon yellow with a slightly light pink touch. The nose smells of flint and lemony nuances and needs to be ventilated. Very fresh on the palate, opens on elegant notes of pink grapefruit, juicy and salty, with bite, supported by medium structure in the finish.

Castelfeder
