Taylor´s Reserve Tawny Port Historic Limited Edition- o.J.- 0.75l - Taylor's Port
Deep reddish-brown color with a narrow, brick-red edge. Ripe, lush and complex on the nose. Warm notes of coffee, cream caramel, dried fruits, plums and raisins merge with nutty and spicy aromas, delicate woody notes and floral hints that subtly underline the seductive fullness of the bouquet. Intense and harmonious on the palate, with a soft, silky texture and a long finish of toffee and preserved fruit, this blend is an impressive ambassador of the traditional art of aging and blending port wines. Each component is fully integrated and at the same time gives the wine an additional dimension of aromatic diversity and depth.
The bottle is inspired by the so-called “mallet” bottles, which became established in England around 1750. The limited special edition combines a selection of the finest Tawnys, which mature in Taylor's Lodges in their old port wine barrels and develop the characteristic fullness of Taylor's with the distinctive, tight draw in the finale. The blend reflects their unique character: perfectly balanced and harmonious with all the intensity and finesse that the long aging in oak barrels gives them.
