Harvest: mid to late September
Winmaking: Thermo-controlled maceration and alcoholic fermentation on selected yeasts over a period of 10 days
Aging: Six months in French and American oak barriques
On the nose, the wine develops floral and fruity aromas with balsamic notes. The color is an intense ruby red. The good structure of the tannins is the result of the six months of aging in wooden barrels. The wine is characterized by a very good structure, elegance, freshness, beautifully integrated acidity and a long finish. Aromas of wild berries, herbs (thyme) and pepper.
The structure and freshness of the wine harmonize perfectly with starters, hearty main courses, grilled meat and mature cheeses.
