Description

Masterpiece with a powerful body

Acústic Plaer- 2020- 0.75l- Cellar Acoustic

Nose: There are countless aromas on the nose, mixing red fruits, sweet spices, dark chocolate, coffee, toffee and roasted notes.

Palate: On the palate it presents a harmony of fine tannins with traces of fruit, an inner density and noticeable minerality. The powerful body is differentiated by the freshness and coolness of the texture. Overall, a masterpiece that is both morbid and aesthetic.

Expansion: The grapes for this wine come from old vines. After selective hand-picking, the grapes are fermented in open fermentation tanks. Further maturation took place in French oak for a period of 12 months.

Match with: grilled or braised meat, pata negra, spicy sausages

Serving recommendation: about 18°C

Backgrounds: It was just a matter of time, or more precisely the right moment, until Albert Jané would realize his dream of owning his own vineyards in the Priorat. This moment came after he started selling his wines from the neighboring D.O. Montsant had attracted a lot of attention and gathered valuable expectations under difficult growing conditions. For a long time, hardly anyone could be trusted to grow wine in the rugged Priorat with its spectacular, steep gorges. Only in the last few years have daring quality enthusiasts once again been drawn to the barren, inhospitable soil. Albert Jané is one of these pioneers.

Through his experiences in Montsant, he was aware of the outstanding wines that old Garnacha and Cariñena vines can produce under extreme conditions. In order to further advance his claim to the highest quality, he sought out ancient vines on the steep northern slopes of the mountains, from which he achieved minimal yields per hectare. The result is amazing concentrates with depth and balance as well as an elegant, cool style. All we have to say is that Albert Jané also dominates the Priory, and in an impressive way!
