Description
The port impresses the eye with a beautiful dark red and great depth of color. The aromas are fine and still reserved, characterized by primary fruit, dark berries and spices. The true character and potential of the port are revealed on the palate: the dark berry fruit is wonderfully integrated, the tannins are fine-grained and the extraordinary harmony between fullness and elegance leads to an impressive finish. All in all, the primary fruit may still dominate in this phase, but the balanced tannin structure indicates great ripening potential for this vintage.
Goes with: Blue cheese, hard cheese, strong, sheep's cheese, Stilton.
